The Street and the Gospel: A Beacon of Hope for the Marginalized
In the heart of Monrovia, a vibrant community has emerged to bring the message of hope and love to those who need it most. The Street and the Gospel is a humanitarian arm of the Finding the Rhythm Group of Companies, dedicated to spreading the gospel to the marginalized, the orphans, and the less privileged. Founded by Minister IVan P, husband to Madam Antoinette Pittman, CEO of Finding the Rhythm Group of Companies, this initiative aims to bridge the gap between the church and those it has often failed to reach.
The Street and the Gospel operates on two main components: entertainment and humanitarian. The entertainment component is designed to engage and inspire through various activities such as Bible quizzing, guest appearances by popular artists, and street gospel comedies. These events not only entertain but also educate and uplift the spirits of those who attend.
The humanitarian component, on the other hand, focuses on providing annual giveaways to those in need. These events are designed to provide immediate relief to the less fortunate members of our community, ensuring that they have access to basic necessities such as food, clothing, and medical care.
The first edition of The Street and the Gospel was held in November of 2023 in Central Monrovia. The event was a resounding success, drawing in street vendors, motorcyclists, business people, supporters and followers of Liberian Gospel music and contents from various sectors of the Liberian gospel community. The atmosphere was filled with joy, laughter, and a sense of unity as people happily interacted with our team on the street.
Through initiatives like The Street and the Gospel, we have been able to work towards creating a new Liberian Gospel music community where everyone has the opportunity to freely express themselves without any hindrances.
We believe by combining entertainment and humanitarian efforts, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those who need it most. Let us continue to support and uplift each other as we strive to make the world a better place, one step at a time.
